What is DotPoet?
A poetry platform with two halves: a private notebook where you write and keep drafts, and a gentle community where finished poems are published, read, and discussed. It runs on the web today and is coming to iPhone and iPad.
Is it free?
Yes. Reading is open to everyone, and a free account lets you write, publish, follow poets, and leave notes.
Can I share my poems outside DotPoet?
Every published poem gets its own page at dotpoet.com that you can share anywhere — and the link unfurls into a card that shows your verse itself, not a logo. When the app is installed, those links open straight into it.
How is this different from other social platforms?
DotPoet is built for poems, not engagement. The design is calm and literary, numbers appear only once they are earned, and the feed ends. It is a reading room, not a slot machine.
Do I keep the rights to my poems?
Always. Your poems are yours. Publishing here only lets us display them to your readers.
Will my poems be used to train AI?
Not if we can help it. We block AI training crawlers from every poem and poet page, and our terms expressly reserve your work from text and data mining. Your poems are for readers, not for models.
